Well, sadly, we are less 1 member of our family this weekend. One of our kitties got in the way of a tire when we were moving a car Sunday night. Never knew what hit her. She was always terrible about looking out for cars, miracle she lasted this long. But still very sad. So she is buried by the plum thicket, near Buzz, who we lost 3 years ago. Wisp was a member of our family from about spring 2001, when she strayed in and adopted us. A very funny and affectionate cat, she always wanted to "help", and be right there with us. Even when we went hunting, she would tag along. She loved to play with weeds or a string, even tho she couldnt see very well. We figured out she could see movement, but maybe not be able to focus on small objects. She struggled terribly with allergies, and was a long haired cat that should have been a short hair. She didn't do well grooming, and in the spring we would wind up cutting clumps of fur off her, she would get exema, and have a heck of a time. At least now she is in a place where her skin won't bother her, or struggle with breathing or allergies. Fortunately she didn't suffer long, perhaps 45 seconds from when she got hit to when she was still. The boys are still reeling from it, taking it very hard. We all love our kitties a lot, and each of them has such a neat personality. They are truly members of our family, and it is hard to have to say goodbye to one. But in the spring we will plant some iris on her grave, and she will not be forgotten....
We love you Wisp....
