Finally got the motorcycle reassembled last night, went together fairly well, except trying to get one mirror to line up. I will watch E-bay for another headlight bracket, in case we have to tear it apart. Time will tell if the tank will leak, I am watching one on E-Bay as well...sure looks nice, and the paint matched real well.
I may have to do something with that lower fairing, where it attaches to the upper one. Two mounting tabs but one broken off, both sides...stupid instrument panel broke back loose when we were putting the mirrors on...darn thing.
waiting on one decal, need to order one for the windshield. Should be rideable tho...

Well, got the color coats on the fender and fairing, not without it's mishaps. Still make beginner's mistakes, try to put on too heavy a coat then you get runs...
in between color and clear, we managed to install the fairing that Allen got me for birthday and Father's Day, on my Yamaha. Then we had to take a little test drive up to the Bennet corner and back. Looks and works real nice. Really pretty easy to install, also...
OK, back to work, shot clear coats....
Now to let them harden and reinstall. Still waiting on decals and some rubber boots for the mirrors. I did get the grommet to mount the fairing back on, so we could put that on now, then get the fender on...won't bother me to let it set a few extra days and get the paint a little harder...

Looks a little better with its instrument panel and headlight back on...brackets are now aligned..
now to start on the fairing and fender, get them repaired and sanded, primed...
now to shoot that darned high-solids primer. Got another gallon of that stuff for my D-T, think I'll take it back and get 182 instead of 282. Darn stuff is so think I can't spray it with my equipment...covers well, provides plenty of material to sand and smooth, but near impossible to apply...
had a little time while the paint was drying, so I swapped the rear tire. Not too hard...
new one went on pretty easy...lots more tread!
Got the fender and the fairing wet sanded tonight, in the morning I will finish messing with the fairing, and shoot color and clear... Then we can reassemble Sunday morning perhaps. May wait until all the grommets and such are here... I know that will kill Kyle, not being able to ride his bike, but...he could sure ride the Honda 250...although that would about kill him...fender is in at Great Plains for it, need to get it picked up and installed....

Started in on Kyle's motorcycle, ordered a set of decals for the fairing. Tore the old fairing off, repaired the instrument panel mounts. Now to do some painting, and start reassembly. Got a new rear tire for it, will try to get that on today as well.....
