  • We used Kevlar canoes, four of them for the 10 of us.. we had all the gear and cooking equipment in large backpacks, about 70 lbs each, makes you realize the value of packing and travelling light.... you pack in and pack out everything you need during the week...

  • We caught fresh fish daily, Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass....cooked them over an open fire... some nights we wrapped them in foil, with butter and lemon pepper....can't get better than that....Tanner learned about skining and cleaning fish... Chris Killingsworth was tremendous at fishing, had great success....

  • We rebuilt fire rings at each of the campsites, and gathered more firewood than we used, left it for the next people for their "conservation project", to complete their 50-miler afloat awards....

  • camped on various islands....portaged the canoes and gear from lake to lake, that was difficult.... made up neat little campsites each night...

  • Been way too long since I have updated. Had a good time on the Canoe Trip to Canada, will try and post pictures....views like this all week. Fishing was great, weather was mostly good, we did hav a bit of rain and a good storm one night....
