  • Overall it was a good week. I was stressing about nothaving any work coming in, un-nerving when your house payment is due, and your CS, and about 14 other bills and you have no money. Fortunately about 4 inspections paid off, so I can get nearly caught up. I did have an Inspection Friday, some odd job work Thursday, and got another Inspection set up for next Saturday. Hate to do Saturday work, but when it comes along, you have to go for it.
Got some Christmas shopping done, that was good. Went to Neb City Saturday am, had to sort out Mom's Christmas ornaments and divide them up between Mary, Betty, myself, Kim and Kris. Kind of resented Kim and Kris being involved, far as I am concerned it should have been Betty, Mary, and myself. Oh well, I won't make a big deal out of it. I did get several things to pass along to my kids when they have families of their own. It wsn't an esy morning tho. Got a basket of canna bulbs from Betty for spring, look forward to planting those. Did that Inspection for Curt on Friday, brought that Saturday and discussed with them. Place had termites, not too bad, hope it doesn't stop their transaction. Financially they will be strapped with this, and they are sure counting on their place selling for way more than it is worth. I hope it all works out, for if their place doesnt sell right away, they have two house payments, two vehicle payments, charge card payments, utilities and groceries, they are going to be in serious financial trouble. Oh well, you can't live someone's life for them. I would probably have bought the place too. Frustrating in a way, I have worked so hard for so many years to be able to have a nice building where I could store my vehicles and have a shop. I still have nothing and in a month he'll have a nicer building than I can ever afford. Oh well, his house payments are double what mine are too. Went to Kyle's soccer game yesterday, they played at 9 and at 3. Got killed both times. He gets stuck playing Goalie all the time. He is good at it, but he is better as a defender. Regular Goalie wont show up to these indoor games so he doesn't get a chance to play. Frustrates him when the other team scores on him, feels like it is all his fault. Sure makes it no fun for him or his team, getting pounded all the time. Other teams have played together for years, have a foot height and 50 lbs on most of SW team, and the refs dont call it when they smash the kids into the wall. I don't see how they can put up with it. About the second or third time that happened to me and it didn't get called, I'd be decking someone, or grabbing them and slamming their head in the wall. Card me, throw me out, but at least that kind of crap wouldn't go unchallenged.
Frustrating. Allen called about 4 pm, they won their meet at Kearney, he took first place in his division, won all of his matches. He didn't get home til after midnight, he was exhausted. I came home and started digging a trench for the water line to the Garage. Pretty muddy, but got at least a foot down the length of it. Hope to work on it more today, try to get it done. I'd like to rent the big drill tomorrow, and install the line, get it covered back up before they come to start digging posts. I have to get NC Utils out here and have them locate that underground power line too. Time to play catch-up this AM, pay bills and see where I am at. So will write later....

  • Hey daddy! Sounds like things are moving along nicely!

Don't spaz about Curt and Kris's new place - remember, it's our hard work that went into our place and that's what makes it all that much more special to us. They're getting someone else's hard work and benefitting from it. I know that that might be  a liked situation, but it won't mean as much to them as ours does us.

I hope that Kyle doesn't have issues with the coach that he doesn't voice to him. I know that if he were out there playing defense, he'd be bodychecking people also...and he's little enough to do some damage too.  I'd also think that he'd go and find the other goalie and punch him in the face (or I would anyway ) for not showing up. I don't think that outdoor season will be too wonderful for them either, especially if the real goalie hasn't had all of the practice from the indoor season that the others have.

Hope that the water line trenching goes well...hopefully if it rains, it'll loosen up the dirt enough to make the going a little easier. One never knows. I also hope that the garage posts will go in nicely - -I know it's not time for those yet, but still - good thoughts early right? >.<

Today will probably be spent either in the shower or in bed sewing...I have a TON of catching up to do - especially if I want to get these out before we all leave...oh well. I'll also go and get the supplies for the trees for make it or bake its at home. I'm thinking that we'll make the 7 for the family, and then I'll deal with the rest...they can go to friends or whomever I want right?

Anywho - off to the shower I go...they're finally fixed so we don't have to stand in a foot of dirty water anymore. You just felt icky after taking a shower in there and that's not a very good feeling at all...blech.
    Love you!
    M
